Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does The Scholarship
Page! offer any scholarships?
The Scholarship Page! does not currently offer any scholarships.
2. Can you perform a more
extensive search on scholarships for me?
No. I do not have the extensive database that would allow me to
do so. Please feel free to visit some other scholarship search web sites by
visiting my links page.
3. Can you help me get a
scholarship?
No. The only thing I can do for you is provide you with
information about various scholarships. You have to take the responsibility of
requesting more information from the company that is listed and following up
with that company.
4. I can't seem to find
anything that I qualify for. Is there somewhere I can look for scholarships for
all majors?
Yes. Pick Browse on the main page and go
to General. You should find quite a few
there.
5. I'm in severe financial
need; why can't I apply for every scholarship out there, and hope that they will
feel sorry for me and offer me the scholarship?
Scholarship panels will not forget what their requirements are!
Scholarship selection takes a lot of time. If they receive applications from
people who do not qualify for the scholarship, it is a waste of their time. In
addition, it is a waste of your time by applying! You could easily spend your
time looking for scholarships that you DO qualify for!
6. I'm not a U.S. citizen.
Where can I find a scholarship?
I'm working on gathering more information about International
students. You can find some under country in the Browse
section, and you may even be able to find some under general,
if they don't say you need to be a U.S. citizen.
7. Can you put in a good
word for me with a scholarship administrator?
No. I am not affiliated with any of the companies or scholarships
listed on this site. Any information you see is gathered from an outside source.
8. I'd like to submit a new
scholarship so you can list it on your site. How do I do that?
We are currently backlogged on requests and are unable to
accommodate your request at this time. Please feel free to visit other
scholarship web sites (visit Links) to submit your
scholarship.
9. I'm having a hard time
trying to write a letter to request more information and an application from a
company that is offering a scholarships. Do you have any tips to share?
Absolutely. At the very least, you should include the following
information: Your name, address, phone number, GPA, major, Name of high school
(if you're currently in high school), college attending (or planning to attend),
Student status (Junior, Senior, etc). If you want to add anything else, that's
up to you, but don't make it too lengthy, this is just an information request!
10. Some of the
scholarships you list do not have years associated with the deadlines... how do
I know what year you mean?
If there is no year specified, the company offers scholarships
every year and has deadlines on or near the same day every year. If you find out
otherwise, please let me know, and I will make
the changes.
11. Some of the listings have
deadlines that have already passed... why haven't you removed them?
There are some scholarships that are offered every year, but the
deadlines vary every year... and I have not been notified of the new deadline
yet.
- If you know the new deadline, please notify me
with a method of verification.
- If you find a scholarship that is listed that
will not be offered in the next year, please notify me with a method of
verification so I may verify it and remove it from the database.
12. What's a (L)SASE?
(Long) Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope. Unless otherwise
specified, this means a #10 (9-1/2" long by 4" tall) envelope.
